Tour Programme:

 Malaga On arrival at Malaga Airport you will be met by ourlocal guide and the touring will begin with a visit to Malaga, the land ofthe Sephardic poet Shlomo lbn Gabirol. We will visit the Gardens ofAlcazabilla, testimony of the Jewish past of Malaga. We will walk throughthe old Sephardic quarter and the site of the medieval Synagogue and we willvisit the Museum of Picasso. Dinner at a local Kosher restaurant thencheck-in to hotel.

We will stay one night in Hotel Meliá Costa Del Sol, Malaga, 4*
Granada/Cordoba In the morning, we will travel to Granadawhich was an important Jewish city in medieval times, home to manyoutstanding figures, including R. Samuel ha-Nagid. The morning is devoted tovisiting the magnificent Alhambra, a series of palaces and gardens built bythe Muslim rulers in the fourteenth century. It was also the site whereFerdinand and Isabella signed the Expulsion decree in 1492. After lunch, wewill visit Lucena, “The Pearl of Sepharad”, Visit the old Jewish quarter andthe Jewish cemetery. We will then be taken to Cordoba. Check-in into hoteland kosher dinner at hotel.

We will stay two nights at Hotel Eurostar Palace, Córdoba 5*

Cordoba This city was the capital of the Al Andaluskingdom, when Spain was ruled by the Muslims. Cordoba is famous as thebirthplace of Maimonides (commemorated here by a statue), and was also oneof the places R. Abraham Ibn Ezra lived. We will visit the Old JewishQuarter and Synagogue, as well the Museum that has recently beenestablished, where we will have the chance to hear a Ladino music show. Freeafternoon at leisure or to further explore/shop. Kosher dinner at hotel.

After breakfast we will continue our journey to Seville, abeautiful city with an old history. Judah Halevi lived here and there isstill a tiny Jewish community. We will tour the Santa Cruz Quarter, which ispart of the old Jewish city, and visit the Alcazar, the Royal Palace. Itwas in Seville that the infamous inquisition first began its operations in1481. After our tour, we return to Malaga Airport.

PRAGUE

"splendour and beauty of Prague, a city beyond compare"

In three special days we will visit the Old Town, Charles Bridge with its statues. The Castle. Memorial to heroes of the Heydrich Terror, The Jewish Quarter with its Town Hall and Hebrew clock Old and new cemeteries. Jewish Museum, Klaus, Pinkus, Meisel, Spanish Synagogues and arguably the most famous synagogue in Europe the Altneuschul, The Maraharal (Rabbi Loew) and the legend of the Golem Statues and concert halls. The river Vtlava, music of Dvorak, Consider the writings of Franz Kafka and Albert Einstein. Finally we will travel from 'The Museum of an extinct race' to Terezin.

ST PETERSBURG

St Petersburg is Russia’s cultural capital and one of the world’s most beautiful cities, it has an extraordinary history, stunning architecture and a rich cultural tradition with considerable Jewish interest.

Tour Highlights:

Tour Programme:

Day 1
On arrive at St Petersburg Airport you will be met by our local guide and the touring will begin with a St Petersburg city tour, visiting Victory Square and the underground memorial hall and exhibition devoted to the 900 day siege of Leningrad, 1941-44. Visit the Russian National Library, St Issacs Cathedral, the gilded dome of the Cathedral dominates the skyline of the city, it is the former principal Orthodox cathedral of the country is one of the most visited city landmarks. Visit the Savior of the Spilled Blood Church, site of the assassination of Czar Alexander II in 1881 and the catalyst for the pogroms. Followed by a visit to the Hermitage Museum.

Day 2
Explore the Yusupov's Palace, a museum which provides an interesting look at the lives of the aristocracy of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Yusupov's Palace is perhaps best known as the site of the murder of Grigory Rasputin, a man with mystical powers who influenced the family of the last Russian tsar. See the parade halls and the place of Rasputin’s murder. Visit to the Russian Museum followed by Peter and Paul’s Fortress, the impressive 18th century ecclesiastical edifice and the burial place of many of the Romanovs, the fortress housed part of the city's garrison and served as a high security political prison, where amongst others the first Lubavitcher Rebbe was imprisoned twice. Visit to the Faberge museum & a walking tour of Nevsky Prospect, St. Petersburg's most famous street, lined with magnificent palaces, churches and 18th and 19th century buildings.
 
Day 3
Peterhof, Hydrofoil is the fastest and the most enjoyable way of travelling between St. Petersburg and Peterhof. Set in magnificent parks, Peterhof is reminiscent of Versailles, it was almost completely destroyed by the Nazis in World War II but has been restored to its full splendor. The parks are dotted with countless fountains, charming pavilions and summer houses. The fountains of Peterhof are one of the most famous tourist attractions, from monumental ensembles like the Samson Cascade to the ever popular Joke Fountains. Visit the Jewish Cemetery, and the beautiful Grand Choral Synagogue, Europe’s second largest synagogue.


Day 4
Visit Pushkin, the opulent Catherine Palace. This estate, in what was formerly known as Tsarskoe Selo, was the summer residence of the Imperial family. Explore its grand state rooms, the superb white marble grand staircase and the spectacularly baroque Great Hall - an astonishing room of gilt, carved wood and mirrors - and the famous Amber Room and Park.
